Terms: January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2028
The candidate filing period is during business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday starting July 30, 2024.
Candidate filing for City Council closes at 5 p.m. on August 13.
An Affidavit of Candidacy must be filed in person at Farmington City Hall, 430 Third Street. The filing fee of $5 may be paid by cash or check.
The candidate withdrawal deadline is 5 p.m. on August 15, 2024.

Candidate Qualifications:

Must be eligible to vote in Minnesota

Must not have filed for another office at the upcoming Primary or General Election

Must be 21 years of age or more upon assuming office

Must have maintained residence in the city of Farmington for at least 30 days before the General Election

Must pay $5 filing fee and file an Affidavit of Candidacy form in the Office of the City Clerk
Holding Two Offices at the Same Time
