The Water Board is a three member advisory board that is appointed for three year terms by the Farmington City Council. Board members make public policy and financial decisions related to the long-term operation and maintenance of the city’s water system. These roles and responsibilities are similar to the functions the City Council serves in the management of the other city run enterprises including sanitary sewer, stormwater, solid waste and liquor.
This board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 5 p.m. at City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.
Visit the Apply for a Board or Commission page for an application to serve on the Water Board.
Water Restrictions
In order to ensure that the public safety and essential needs of residents are not jeopardized while still allowing water use flexibility, the Water Board has year round Odd/Even Water Restrictions on outdoor watering.
