Park and Shelter Reservations

Rent a Park or Shelter!

You may reserve a city park or shelter for the season at the beginning of January. Parks and shelters are open May 1 through Oct. 1; and may be reserved for family gatherings, company picnics, group events, banquets, wedding receptions, class reunions, and other group events. Shelters are reserved online on a first come first serve basis.

Reservations can also be made in person at City Hall. Drop off a completed reservation form with fee payment at City Hall, 430 Third St. For more information, call Farmington Parks and Recreation at 651-280-6850.

  • Dakota County Estates Park, 18220 Emerald Trail28-foot diameter hexagon shaped shelter with four picnic tables with a capacity of 35 people and offers one charcoal grill.
  • Daisy Knoll Park, 18640 Esquire Way - 28 foot diameter hexagon shaped shelter with four picnic tables with a capacity of 35 people and offers one charcoal grill.
  • Evergreen Knoll Park, 626 Heritage Way - 40 foot diameter square shaped shelter with 13 picnic tables with a capacity of 150 people and offers two charcoal grills, and electricity.
  • Farmington Preserve Park, 19975 Embers Ave. - 28 foot diameter hexagon shaped shelter with four picnic tables with a capacity of 35 people.
  • Hill Dee Park, 5535 Upper 182nd St. - 28 foot diameter hexagon shaped shelter with four picnic tables with a capacity of 35 people and offers two charcoal grills.
  • Jim Bell Park & Preserve, 4555 195th St. W - 28 foot diameter hexagon shaped shelter with four picnic tables with a capacity of 35 people and offers two charcoal grills.
  • Lake Julia Park, 5105 187th St. W - 30 foot diameter square shaped shelter with 10 picnic tables with a capacity of 100 people.
  • Meadowview Park, 5550 197th St. W - 28 foot diameter hexagon shaped shelter with four picnic tables with a capacity of 35 people and offers two charcoal grills.
  • Pine Knoll Park, 4950 203rd St. W - 34 foot diameter hexagon two tiered roof shelter with six picnic tables with a capacity of 50 people and two charcoal grills.
  • Prairie View Park, 1100 12th St. - 30 foot diameter square shaped shelter with 10 picnic tables with a capacity of 100 people.
  • Prairie Waterway Greenway, 821 13th St. - 40 foot diameter octagon shaped shelter with a capacity of 100 people.
  • Rambling River Park, 17 Elm St. - 32 foot rectangular shaped shelter with eight picnic tables with a capacity of 75 people and offers two charcoal grills, and electricity.
  • Silver Springs Park, 18900 English Ave.- 20 foot diameter round shaped single pole shelter with two picnic tables and a capacity of 20 people.
  • Tamarack Park, 895 Cantata Ave. - 28 foot diameter hexagon shaped shelter with four picnic tables with a capacity of 35 people and offers one charcoal grill.
