Update (as of Jan. 16):
Fiber-Optic Network
The first phase of construction on Hiawatha Broadband Communications, Inc., (HBC) fiber-optic network in Farmington has been completed. In 2023, crews placed over 50 miles of fiber which is now active and ready to provide reliable Internet, TV, and Phone services to more than 2,000 Farmington residences.

In 2024, plans call for services to be available to an additional 3,700 homes. Construction will begin in the northwest area of Farmington. As soon as ground conditions allow, drill crews are tentatively scheduled to start in the vicinity of Upper 183rd Street and Everest Path.

Throughout the year, crews will continue working southward between the Union Pacific railroad tracks on the east and Flagstaff Avenue to the west. Construction updates and other project news and information are available online at hbci.com/farmington.
