RE: Natural Gas Station Maintenance
To Whom It May Concern:
Northern Natural Gas has an upcoming pipeline station project, which will involve the flaring of gas within Northern Natural Gas’ station located on the west side of Chippendale Avenue just south of the intersection with 197th Street West.
This gas flare is scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 21, 2017, and will last approximately three days. During this time you may see a flare, which is a result of natural gas being released in to the atmosphere. Since the gas at that location is odorized, the odor of natural gas also may be detected locally. Please know that this is a normal maintenance procedure.
This process will be closely monitored by Northern Natural Gas. The local fire department has been notified of this upcoming process so that they may respond to any concerns brought to their attention by a member of the public.
Please be aware of this event and know that there is no threat to the public. Should an actual emergency arise during this time, Northern Natural Gas will immediately contact the local emergency responders.
