New K-9 Unit Donations

Farmington Police Department’s K-9 officer Bosco is easing into retirement and the department has recruited a new team. Detective Chris Lutz and K-9 Caesar began an intense 12 week K-9 training course at the St. Paul Police Handler School in March. The Police Department will welcome the new K-9 Unit following their graduation in May.

The initial cost for the new K-9 was $13,000 and this fee was completely paid for with donations. Farmington Liquors will collect supplies and monetary donations to be used toward ongoing veterinary, food, equipment, and training expenses.
